Using Slot Adjustments

1. At the Item field enter the item to adjust slots.

If you are uncertain of the item code, see Navigating Net Yield - Selecting an Item Code.

Note: If you select a non-lotted item, the cursor stays in the Item field.

2. A Select A Location window will appear; select the location associated with the slot to make adjustments to.

Note: If there is only one slotted location there will not be an option to select a location.

3. A Lots window displays lots of the items selected. Scroll to the appropriate line and press Enter. Press F10 to confirm your selection. The window has columns that represent:

• Lot – The number assigned to the lot
• Open – The date the lot was created
• Balance – The total on-hand balance for a particular lot
• Committed – The amount committed against a particular lot
• Unit – The stocking unit of measurement
• Slotted – The amount of item slotted in a particular lot.

4. A Slot Adjustments window opens and displays all slots for the location and the slot balance for the lot selected. The following columns display:

• Slot – The unique code associated to a particular slot
• Slot Description – The description for the slot
• Capacity – The total slot capacity in cubic feet, which is defined and maintained in the Locations option within the Slots command option
• Available – The available slot capacity
• Committed – The amount committed against a particular slot
• Volume – The cubic feet that the product occupies. The minimum volume is defined in the Item/Cu Ft for Slotting field.
• Qty Slotted – The amount of product inducted as inventory into a particular slot
• Un – The item’s preferred stocking unit of measurement.

Make changes to the Qty Slotted column as necessary and press F10. The total lot quantity must be slotted or you will get a system warning. The slot quantity cannot be less than the committed quantity.

5. Command options will appear:

• Select Update to save the changes you have made to the quantity slotted.
• Select Modify to return to the Slot Adjustments window when you can make changes to the slotted balances.
• Select Exit to return to the Lots window.
